Is exaggeration the same as lying?

Well yes and no, you aren't telling the whole truth, so normally if you exaggerate a story, people don't really think it happened, even though it did. No it's not really lying because there is truth in it, even if it's a little on the unbelievable side. Because even if they are saying something like, I was outside and I wrapped three blankets around me and I was still cold, even though they only used one, they are trying to explain how cold it was. I think that the story about Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong, was true, just put somethings in to make it more interesting, or it makes it easier to understand something that was going on with a person.
